It’s the middle of June, so of course my kids are waist deep planning their halloween costumes. Apparently a $20 Amazon costume won’t cut it anymore. They’ve seen this fantastic Bumblebee Costume on YouTube. So we took some old cardboard and got to work.
Here are my sketches – basically trying to eyeball the costume on YouTube. Very scientific.

Three exacto knives and 12 hot glue sticks later, here’s the prototype:

So this was supposed to be a prototype so I could try out the measurements. Then I was going to do the real thing with foam board, paint, etc. Apparently the cardboard was good enough for them. No complaints here!
